Sun Life completes second sustainability bond offering
In July 2023, Sun Life issued a $500 million 7-year Sustainability Bond.
Following the success of Sun Life’s inaugural sustainability bond offering, which won the Corporate Sustainability Bond of the Year Award from Environmental Finance in 2020, this second sustainability bond helps deliver on Sun Life’s aspiration to advance sustainable investing. Sun Life will use an amount equivalent to the net proceeds from the offering to finance or refinance, in whole or in part, new and/or existing green or social assets that meet the eligibility criteria set out under Sun Life's Sustainability Bond Framework.
