Building Brighter Futures, together: our 2025 Sustainability Report
At Sun Life, sustainability isn’t a standalone effort or a separate strategy. It’s a core part of how we operate, innovate and create long-term value for our Clients, our business and the communities we serve. Our 2025 Sustainability Report shows how we’re continuing to embed sustainability across every corner of our organization, helping us shape decisions, strengthen resilience and guide how we deliver on our Purpose: to help Clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives.
And that Purpose isn't an aspiration, it's our foundation. The way we translate our Purpose to impact, makes us truly unique. By bringing together sustainability, business strategy and Purpose, we can better understand and address our Clients' evolving needs and inspire our employees.
This year’s report also reflects the progress we’re making through our Brighter Futures blueprint, our enterprise sustainability strategy that brings together Purpose, Clients and long-term business resilience. It sets out how we’re transforming our approach to sustainability to unlock new growth opportunities, drive innovation and amplify Client impact.
Sustainability, embedded in how we do business
As our world continues to change, and face increasing complexity, sustainability plays a critical role in how Sun Life anticipates and prepares. By fully integrating sustainability into our business, we’re better positioned to remain resilient, and together with our Clients, thrive in this changing world.
The Brighter Futures blueprint reflects who we are today, how we serve our Clients and communities, and where we’re headed. It moves us beyond ambition toward action ensuring sustainability is personal, practical and deeply connected to what Sun Life does best.
We’re focusing on areas where our core capabilities in health, wealth and risk management can create the greatest impact: helping to close health gaps, promote lasting financial security and deliver innovation where it matters most.
Turning strategy into impact
Our 2025 Impact Summary offers a clear snapshot of how this strategy is translating into real outcomes. It highlights the progress we’re making by developing tailored solutions for underserved groups, building trust through responsible practices and supporting our Clients as they navigate today’s challenges while preparing for the future.
These outcomes reflect a consistent approach across our global business, one where sustainability is embedded into decision-making, product design and long-term planning, rather than treated as a separate initiative.

Delivering impact that lasts
It’s ingrained in our Purpose to help Clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives. The progress captured in this year’s Sustainability Report is a result of teams across Sun Life working together to apply sustainability in ways that strengthen our business while creating meaningful impact for the people and communities we serve.
Building brighter futures doesn’t happen in isolation. It requires collaboration with our employees, Clients, partners, investors and communities, and a shared commitment to integrating sustainability into how we grow, innovate and deliver value over the long term.
